The first step in any journey starts with knowing what the destination is, and then knowing what to do to get there. In the case of studying a foreign language, this first step consists in learning the alphabet, and the Romanian language is no exception. You will notice that things will be much clearer, and diacritics, for example, will no longer scare you.
About the Romanian alphabet
We talk about it at school, but also at online Romanian language courses. It’s more important than you think. Romanian diacritics – not so bad!
Diacritics can be said to be very important. Some may omit them when learning Romanian, but certainly our students do not do that. They are useful both in pronunciation and in writing, and texts written without diacritics are always blamed by those who love to speak correctly.
Ă – A simple one to which a hat is added
 – A simple with a circumflex accent
Î – I to which, instead of a dot, we add the circumflex accent
Ș – S with the comma under the letter
Ț – T with comma below the letter
Now you will know, when you come across a word, person’s name, or street name, how to pronounce them even if they have these distinctive letters.
These being written, you are one step closer to the ideal vacation in Romania, that vacation you can’t wait for, where you visit places full of history, admire breathtaking landscapes and communicate with the locals even in Romanian! With the last part of this dream, we can help you because the Romanian language courses are always open to the loving and traveling public!
