How to learn Romanian while living abroad

Another trick you can learn is to listen to those around you. Don’t think about the answer you have to give next, looking for the right words and mentally preparing your speech. Listen to your interlocutors and actively participate in the conversation; ask them when incertitudes arise or you are not sure what they want to communicate.

And your fear of being criticized can be easily avoided if you accept them as constructive. A Romanian will know better a pronunciation or a meaning of the word; your Romanian language teacher will know exactly the conjugations of verbs. Accept all the advice you receive, choose what can help you in your progress, and move on!
